iProGadgets OEM Repair Parts for Apple iPad (10th generation, 2022) — LCD Panel & Touch Digitizer — Quick Answers

The iPad (10th generation) has a non-laminated display: the front glass with its touch digitizer and the LCD panel behind it are two separate parts, with an air gap between them. Unlike a laminated screen they can be replaced independently, so this listing lets you buy only the layer you actually need. Pick Touch Screen if the glass or the touch layer is damaged, LCD Display if the picture is faulty but the glass is fine, or Touch Screen + LCD Display if both layers are gone. Every version is an OEM-quality compatible part, tested before dispatch, and returnable within 30 days while uninstalled.

  • Fit: iPad (10th generation, 2022) — A2696 (Wi-Fi), A2757 (Wi-Fi + Cellular), A2777 and A3162 (Wi-Fi + Cellular, China mainland)
  • Three versions: Touch Screen · LCD Display · Touch Screen + LCD Display — choose one in the Version selector above
  • Two separate layers: Non-laminated build: the glass/digitizer and the LCD panel are separate parts, so you only pay for the one you need
  • Tested: Panel and digitizer each tested before dispatch
  • Dispatch: Ships in 1–3 business days with a tracking number
  • Returns: 30-day return window on uninstalled parts

Which Version Do You Need?

This listing covers three versions. Select the one you need in the Version selector at the top of the page — the price changes with your selection.

Version What you receive Choose it when
Touch Screen The 10.9″ front glass with its capacitive touch digitizer, supplied with adhesive tape already applied. No LCD panel. The picture is perfect but the glass is cracked, or touch is dead, ghosting or unresponsive in places. Apple Pencil sensing lives in this layer too — a Pencil that skips or breaks strokes usually points here.
LCD Display The 10.9″ Liquid Retina LCD panel only. No glass, no digitizer and no adhesive. The glass is intact but the picture is faulty — vertical lines, dark blotches, bright spots, or no image at all.
Touch Screen + LCD Display Both layers together — the glass/digitizer and the LCD panel, as a matched pair. Best value. Both layers are damaged, or you would rather rebuild the whole front end in one pass instead of separating the old layers.

Compatibility

The model number is printed in small print on the back cover. All four model numbers take the same glass and the same LCD panel, so the Wi-Fi and cellular versions use identical parts.

iPad model Model number
For iPad (10th generation), Wi-Fi A2696
For iPad (10th generation), Wi-Fi + Cellular A2757
For iPad (10th generation), Wi-Fi + Cellular (China mainland) A2777
For iPad (10th generation), Wi-Fi + Cellular (China mainland, eSIM revision) A3162

Included in the Box

  • The version you select in the selector above:
  • Touch Screen — 1 × 10.9″ front glass with bonded touch digitizer and adhesive tape applied
  • LCD Display — 1 × 10.9″ Liquid Retina LCD panel
  • Touch Screen + LCD Display — both of the above, supplied together
  • Not included: Tools, opening picks, battery, front camera, top-button hardware or any other internal part.

Installation Notes

  • Disconnect the battery first, and clean every flex connector with isopropyl alcohol — a partly seated connector behaves exactly like a faulty part.
  • Do not pull, tear or push on the flex cables. They are thin ribbons and crease permanently.
  • Replacing the glass on its own: warm the perimeter to soften the old adhesive, then lift the digitizer away carefully. The LCD underneath scratches and cracks easily, so keep tools flat and never press on the panel face.
  • Replacing the LCD on its own: with the digitizer out of the way, release the panel bracket screws and lift the panel out by its edges.
  • This iPad has no home button — Touch ID sits in the top button and is not part of this repair.
  • Test the panel and the touch layer before you bond the glass down. Once the adhesive is pressed home the part counts as installed, and it can no longer be returned.

iPad 10th Gen Screen FAQs

Are the glass and the LCD really two separate parts on this iPad?
Yes. The iPad (10th generation) uses a non-laminated display: there is a small air gap between the front glass/touch digitizer and the LCD panel behind it. They are two separate components inside the tablet, and either can be replaced on its own. That is different from the iPad Air and iPad Pro, where the glass, digitizer and panel are bonded into a single piece and the whole assembly has to be swapped.

How do I know whether I need the glass, the panel, or both?
Glass or touch only: the picture is sharp and complete, but the glass is cracked, or touch is dead, ghosting or unresponsive in patches. Panel only: the glass is unmarked, but you see lines, dark blotches, bright spots or nothing at all. Both: the glass is broken and the image is faulty as well. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the iPad switched on and we will tell you which version to order.

What display technology does this screen use?
The panel is Liquid Retina IPS LCD — LED backlit, 10.9 inches, 1640 × 2360 pixels at 264 ppi and 500 nits of brightness, the same panel technology Apple fits to this iPad. The touch layer above it is a capacitive multi-touch digitizer with an anti-fingerprint oleophobic coating.

Does fingerprint unlock (Touch ID) still work after replacing the screen?
Yes. On the iPad (10th generation) the Touch ID sensor is built into the top button, not into the screen, so neither the glass nor the panel swap touches it. Fingerprint unlock and Apple Pay keep working exactly as before.

Will Apple Pencil still work?
Yes, as long as the digitizer layer is intact — Apple Pencil sensing happens in the touch layer, not in the LCD. If you replace only the LCD, your existing glass keeps handling the Pencil. If you replace the Touch Screen, Pencil tracking and pressure come from the new digitizer.

Do I need to buy adhesive as well?
If you order the Touch Screen or the Touch Screen + LCD Display version, the glass arrives with its adhesive tape already applied. The LCD Display version is the panel on its own — on this model the panel is not glued to the glass, so no extra adhesive is needed to fit it.

Quality Control & Testing

Strictly tested by the iProGadgets QC team. iProGadgets has focused on phone, tablet, laptop and PC repair parts for more than 10 years, and we supply only prime-quality parts and accessories.

Before You Install

  1. Every part is double-tested before shipping and confirmed working.
  2. After receiving the part, check the appearance and test it first — do not install it straight away. Connect the new part to the mainboard for a functional test; only proceed with a professional install once everything passes.
  3. All repair parts are fragile and can be damaged or made to work improperly by installation mistakes. If you are not confident replacing the part, please have it done by a professional technician or repair shop.
  4. We are not responsible for installation mistakes. Unprofessional installation or any mistake during fitting is likely to cause product damage and functional issues.
  5. Warranty period: the warranty is valid until the part is installed in your device. We cannot provide warranty for any issue arising after the product has been installed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this part compatible with my device?

This listing is for Replacement New Display for iPad 10th Gen 2022 A3162 A2696 A2757 A2777 10.9 inch Retina LCD Touch Screen Digitizer OEM. It is built as a direct-fit replacement for the model named in the title. Match the model number in the title against your own device before ordering. If you are not sure which version you need, email sales@iProGadget.com and we will confirm the correct part for you.

What is the quality of these replacement parts?

We supply iProGadgets OEM Quality / Premium Compatible replacement parts. Every part is manufactured to OEM specifications, so the fit, finish and function match the original component it replaces, and each unit is individually tested before it leaves our warehouse.

Is the part tested before it is shipped?

Yes. Every part we sell is inspected before dispatch and tested wherever testing applies — screen assemblies are checked on the panel, the touch response and the connector. Orders are processed and shipped within 1-3 business days after payment is confirmed.

How long does shipping take?

Orders leave our warehouse within 1-3 business days. Express Shipping (DHL, UPS or FedEx) takes 5-8 working days and is normally used for parcels over 2 kg. Registered Air Post takes 10-20 working days and is normally used for parcels under 2 kg. Every order ships with a tracking number. Customs clearance can add extra time, especially during peak season.

Will I be charged import duties or customs fees?

Customs charges depend on your own country's import rules and its de minimis threshold, not on the seller. Some destinations apply no duty at all on lower-value parcels, and where duty or VAT does apply it is collected by your local post office or courier before delivery. We ship every order with complete and accurate commercial documents, which is what keeps a parcel moving through customs instead of sitting in it. If you would like to estimate the charges before you order, email us your country and we will point you to the right authority.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy, which means you can request a return within 30 days of receiving your item. To be eligible, the item must be unused, uninstalled and in the packaging it arrived in. Once a part has been fitted, bonded or used it cannot be returned, so please test the part before installation. To start a return, email sales@iProGadget.com.

What should I do if the part arrives damaged or faulty?

Inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If an item is defective, damaged or not what you ordered, contact us at sales@iProGadget.com straight away with photos or a short unboxing video, and we will arrange a replacement or a refund.

Do you provide repair guides or installation tutorials?

No. We are a supplier of replacement parts only. We are not a repair shop, and we do not provide repair guides, tutorials or step-by-step installation support. Every part we sell is intended to be installed by a professional technician at a qualified repair shop, which also gives the best result: a technician can transfer the small components, handle the adhesives and test the finished repair. Please do not attempt the installation yourself if you have no previous repair experience, as these assemblies are fragile and incorrect handling can damage them permanently. We sell parts only and do not accept responsibility for installation carried out by the customer. Our warranty covers the part itself and remains valid until the part is installed. If a problem appears after the repair, please take the device back to the repair shop that fitted the part so they can inspect the installation and test the device.
