How do I tell whether my machine has this 40-pin touch panel or the 30-pin non-touch panel?

The two look almost identical from the front, and this is the most common mistake on this machine. Read the label on the back of the screen you are removing: 5D10K81094 or 5D10K81098 means this on-cell touch panel, while 5D10K81086, 5D10K81087 or 5D10K81095 means the 30-pin non-touch panel, which is a different part. Two physical checks if the label is worn: count the pins on the connector — 40 pins means touch, 30 means non-touch; and look at the surface in a bright room — glossy means touch, matte means non-touch. Is this screen glossy or matte, and does the touch layer come as a separate part?
